Malva species Mallow, also called cheeseweed, is found throughout the country in lawns, in fields, and along roadways. It is an annual, or sometimes a biennial, and reproduces by seeds. It has a straight, nearly white taproot that is difficult to pull from the soil. Mallow is most commonly found in poorly managed lawns and in soils high in manure content.
