Problem: Watergrass

Problem Info
Barnyardgrass, also called watergrass, is a warm-season annual weed that is usually found in poorly managed lawns of low fertility. It reproduces by seeds and develops into a plant with a shallow root system. Although the natural growth habit of barnyardgrass is upright, when mowed regularly it forms ground-hugging mats. Its reddish purple stems grow up to 3 feet long. The smooth leaves are 1/4 to 1/2 inch wide, with a prominent midrib.
