How to use

  1. Connect the garden hose to the sprayer on the Ortho® Weed B-gon™ Lawn Weed Killer Ready-To-Spray bottle.
  2. Turn on the water.
  3. Head to the furthest point in the yard from the faucet. When you spray, work backwards toward the faucet.
  4. Slide the switch on the sprayer to "ON" to start spraying.
  5. Spray evenly across the lawn until it is wet.
  6. When the treatment of an area is complete, slide the switch on the sprayer to "OFF."
  7. Turn off the water.

It will be important to relieve the water pressure before unattaching the sprayer. Do this by sliding the switch on the sprayer to "WATER." After the water slows to a drip, slide the switch back to "OFF." Disconnect the sprayer from the hose and store the bottle in a secure location.

Note: Shake well before using.

Our Environment

To protect the environment, do not allow pesticide to enter or run off into storm drains, drainage ditches, gutters, or surface water. Applying in calm weather when rain is not predicted for the next 24 hours will help ensure that wind or rain does not blow or wash pesticide off the treatment area. Rinsing application equipment over the treated area will help avoid run off to water bodies or drainage systems.

The use of this chemical in areas where soils are permeable, particularly where the water table is shallow, may result in groundwater contamination. Application around a cistern or well may result in contamination of drinking water or groundwater.

Coverage area

  • When applying to St. Augustinegrass, Bermudagrass (common and hybrid), Centipedegrass, Zoysiagrass, Buffalograss, and Bahiagrass, 32 fl. oz. treats up to 16,000 sq. ft.
  • When applying to Kentucky bluegrass, Ryegrass, Tall fescue, and Fine fescue lawns 32 fl. oz. treats up to 8,000 sq. ft.
